I have recently read a blog on Runescape.com that tells about a couple of new capes that Jagex are planning to add to Runescape and I’m going to tell you a little about it!

Capes of Distinction

• So one of the new capes is a veteran cape. This cape can be worn by players that had their account on runescape over 5 years. I think that shows that they know much about runescapes history and that those players are not to mess with.

• Second there will also be a classic cape. It’s pretty much just a simple cape that shows that you have at some date visited Runescape classic.

• Thirdly there will be a max Skillcape. This cape is basically for the players that has reached all skills to 99.

• There will also be a cape of 10s. This mean that when you have reached for example 50+ in all skills you can wear the cape of 50s and so on.

• Last but not least there will be a uber cape. This will probably be the most respected cape. To wear this cape you will need to have maxed total level (all 99s+120 dung), completed all of the quests and have unlocked all soundtracks. This means that for players who wish to continue using this cape also needs to do all upcoming quests and continue to unlock all new soundtracks that comes out.

Okay, that’s not all of the updates that have happened recently. There is also a big update to the Ring Of Wealth. It used to be that ring nobody used and it was almost seen as junk. Now with the update, it has four new charges that can be used for teleporting to the Grand Exchange and Miscellania. But that’s not it: It has now a big effect on slayer monsters. When using this killing monsters, it increase the change of getting a drop from the “rare drop table”. When using this you will also have a chance of getting a new item called vecna skull. The vecna skull will increase your magic level by 6 for 4 minutes. Even though it  has a cool down time of 7 minutes I think this item is very useful and saves a lot of cash.
When wielding the ROW you will also have a chance of getting some new drops from slayer monsters, for example runite ores and yew logs. I find this update very great because now people has a reason to use the ring of wealth.

So to summary all this:

• Capes of Distinction, Veteran cape, classic cape, max skillcape, cape of 10s and uber cape

• Ring of wealth update, 4 charges added, teleports and a big update to the loots while using it.
